After completion of this three-day workshop and the preparatory self-study, candidates should be able to
1.1	set energy efficiency design parameters for buildings; 
1.2	understand and describe the impact of buildings on the national energy system;
1.3	describe the causal chain between energy and the environment;
1.4	describe the essential elements of the new SANS204 (Energy Efficiency in  
                     Buildings) Regulation, with examples;
1.5	assess, in principle, a given building project for energy efficiency;
1.6	describe building energy labels (passes).
